This is a two for one special! These bridges are very close together. One is a new city landmark, the other is a park. There is a huge project going on in Dallas that encompasses the Trinity River Corridor. They are building walking paths and other outdoor-friendly activities for everyone to enjoy.
We started out on the Trinity Skyline Trail and walked down the ramp to the floodway below, where the trail is located.
Tucked in the trees of Trinity Forest, on the Southeast side of Dallas an awesome adventure beckons. All you active folks, this is for you!
Trinity Forest Adventure Park opened late in 2013 and is situated on 7 acres. The park consists of 6 obstacle courses of increasing difficulty. You can find balance beams, floating bridges, zip lines, traversing ropes, and much more as you navigate through the courses.
As things are often more fun when shared with friends, I recruited my husband, AK, and our friends Blondie & Peter to come along.
In case you’re worried, you do NOT have to be a fitness fanatic or in perfect shape to participate. I’m not going to lie and say it’s easy either. Your muscles will be talking to you the next day.
